Founded in 1995, the International Coach Federation (ICF) is the leading global organization dedicated to advancing the coaching profession by setting high standards, providing independent certification, and building a worldwide network of credentialed coaches. ICF seeks to advance the art, science and practice of professional coaching.
Indeed, it brings together more than 35,000 members in 143 countries. More than 29,000 members hold a credential as certified coach.
Today, the ICF is particularly recognized worldwide among coaching professionals for:
  • Developing coaching core competencies
  • Establishing a professional code of ethics and standards
  • Creating an internationally recognized credentialing program
  • Setting guidelines through accreditation for coach-specific training programs
