Continuing Coach Education (CCE) units are earned upon completing Continuing Coach Education, for example a training programme accredited for CCEUs or a webinar or live event that offer CCEUs.
CCE units are awarded in two categories:
ICF does not offer training for becoming a coach. (We do offer professional development for practiced coaches.) As the accrediting body, we cannot recommend any specific training programs
To ensure quality training, the International Coach Federation (ICF) accredits coach-training programs that meet its high standards. To find ICF-accredited programs, we suggest that you use our Training Program Search Service (TPSS) see link below:
https://apps.coachfederation.org/eweb/DynamicPage.aspx?webcode=TPSS
(The search for a coach-training program is a highly individual process which depends greatly on your personal preferences and goals. The TPSS is designed to give you basic information about all ICF-accredited programs.)
Mentor coaching hours count toward Core Competency CCE requirements for the renewal of a credential. Those who hold an Associate Certified Coach (ACC) credential must submit at least 10 hours of mentor coaching with an eligible mentor coach to renew their ACC. These 10 hours count as Core Competency toward the 40 hours of CCEs required for renewal. Those who hold a PCC or MCC are not required to submit mentor coaching, but MAY submit up to 10 hours of mentor coaching (either delivering or receiving) as Core Competency credits toward the 40 hours of CCEs required for renewal.
Like mentor coaching hours, supervision hours count as Core Competency toward the 40 CCEs required to renew a credential.
